Kas šovakar būs vakariņās

Kas tikai viss nebūs! :)

(This is not a sponsored post, I am genuinely grateful and touched every time we get these "thank you for shopping with us, here's a free gift" cupons from our store.)

Life is good. Lai visiem jauks vakars!

Paldies, ka ieskatījies Pieliekamajā!

  1. The translation on this one make is almost impossible for me to understand but the tomatoes look AWESOME, I love avocado SOOOO much (one of my very favorite foods), and you picked that lettuce? How great! I can honestly say I've never boiled cauliflower... do you ever make a mash of it like mashed potatoes (or is that what you were saying). I really can't figure out with the translation on this one. Looks yummy though :-)

    1. Thank you! :) We visited one of our favorite organic farmers, and I bought some lettuce and tomatoes that they had just harvested from their hothouses that morning. The taters and califlower are from the supermarket.
The key to world's yummiest califlower is that it has to be "just in", the first of the year's harvest, and you boil it to just tender, and eat it with salt and sour cream. You can absolutely mash it or add it to potato mash.
"Regular" califlower boiled can taste exactly like "boiled califlower" sounds :D

    2. haha, I like that last sentence. I've never been much a fan of cooked veggies so when I do cook them I always just lightly steam them. Boil just to tender sounds similar. I don't know that I've ever thought once about "just in" cauliflower. Maybe that's why I don't LOVE it :)

    3. I actually tried (not very hard) to find the English word for it, but in Swedish you'd use "primör" for all new veggies, "early vegetable" one dictionary says.
So I prescribe to you a "primör" califlower, if you find it :).
